Meditation Therapy
Guided Meditation With Light and Sound
Meditation Therapy at Heights Wellness Retreat uses a headset you wear over your eyes and ears. A visor sends gentle pulses of light while the headphones play a guided meditation track. You recline with your eyes closed and the session runs on its own from there. Nothing is hands on and there is nothing you have to do.
A session lasts about 20 minutes. Plan for up to ten additional minutes of consultation and dressing time. You do not need any meditation experience to start, since the audio carries the whole session.
The BrainTap Headset
Sessions run on BrainTap®, a light and sound system built for guided meditation. The visor delivers light to your closed eyes while small emitters send light to your ears at the same time. BrainTap calls this auricular therapy. The point is to give your brain a steady rhythm to follow rather than asking you to find one yourself.
Who Meditation Therapy is For
Meditation Therapy suits anyone building mental recovery into a routine rather than reaching for it only after a hard stretch. It fits especially well if you are:
- New to meditation and unsure how to begin
- Someone who has tried meditating alone and could not stay consistent with it
- Carrying work stress that follows you home
- Having trouble winding down at the end of the day
- Short on time and looking for something that fits into twenty minutes
- Already building a recovery routine and want it to cover the mind as well as the body
How Often to Come In
Meditation works as a routine rather than a one off reset. Most guests come in once a week once they have settled into a rhythm. Your Wellness Consultant can adjust that around what you are working toward.
All services and pricing vary by location and reflect the first-time guest rate. Each service you receive includes up to ten minutes of consultation and dressing time.

What Meditation Therapy Can Help With
At Heights Wellness Retreat, meditation is one of the more heavily studied wellness practices.Regular sessions are associated with:
Lower Stress
Consistent meditation practice is linked to reduced stress and lower cortisol. The benefit builds with repetition rather than arriving in a single session.
Sharper Focus
Training your attention to stay in one place carries over into the hours after the session. People who practice regularly report holding focus longer through the working day.
Better Sleep
A quieter nervous system going into the evening makes it easier to fall asleep and stay there. Guided sessions are often the entry point for guests whose main goal is sleep.
Steadier Mood
Regular practice is associated with lower anxiety and better emotional regulation. That resilience is what makes the rest of a demanding week easier to carry.
Common Questions About Meditation Therapy
What is BrainTap?
BrainTap is the light and sound system behind these sessions. It pairs a guided audio track with a light visor and layered tones that pace brain activity toward a slower rhythm. Your session at the Retreat uses that technology in a room set up for it.
